Maxime Favrod | percussion

Maxime Favrod studied percussion at the Conservatoire de Genève then marimba at the  Conservatoire of Rotterdam, under Robert van Sice, where he obtained the diplôme de hautes écoles in marimba. Maxime Favrod taught marimba at the Conservatoire de La Chaux-de-Fonds in a professional class for several years. He has played in the majority of ensembles in French-speaking Switzerland among which the Nouvel Ensemble Contemporain, Contrechamps,  Centre International de Percussion, Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, with which he played in America, Asia and Europe. In 1999 his first CD, “Marimba Now”, was released. It contained only original Swiss creations that he had ordered from composers.
